Katarzyna Kowalik: Harpsichord, organ

Katarzyna is a London-based harpsichordist and early keyboard specialist performing actively as a soloist and with many period ensembles. She is a director of the Royal Baroque ensemble.

Katarzyna completed her Masters Degree in Historical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (MPerf 2012) with Carole Cerasi, James Johnstone and Nicholas Parle, obtaining The City of London Corporation Award (2011) and Guildhall School Trust Award (2010).

She was also awarded a prestigious Guildhall Artist Fellowship twice (2012, 2013). She also graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw with Master Degrees in Piano and Harpsichord.

Katarzyna has performed in prestigious concert venues in London and around the UK and Poland as well as in Germany, France, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands and North Korea. She plays with many groups and orchestras and has been involved in the educational projects organised by Classical Opera.

Katarzyna’s CDs include ‘Forgotten Vienna’ with Amadè Players (Resonus Classics 2015), Meilyr Jones’s album ‘2013’ as well as ‘French Collection’ solo harpsichord CD (release in 2018). She also recorded for BBC Radio 1.

She is currently a harpsichord and basso continuo teacher at Morley College in London.
