Katarzyna Kowalik: Harpsichord, organ

Katarzyna Kowalik is is a London based harpsichordist and early keyboard specialist. She completed her Master Degree in Historical Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London (MPerf 2012) with Carole Cerasi, James Johnstone and Nicholas Parle, obtaining The City of London Corporation Award and Guildhall School Trust Award. She was also awarded Guildhall Artist Fellowship twice.

Katarzyna mastered her skills in Académie Musicale Villecroze, the Piccola Accademia in Montisi studying with Christophe Rousset (Montisi 2012) and Skip Sempé (Utrecht 2015, Paris 2017).

Katarzyna performed regularly in London (Barbican Centre, Cadogan Hall, Milton Court, National Gallery, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Royal Albert Hall), as well as around United Kingdom, Germany, France, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands.

In 2015 Katarzyna was a participant of the Handel House Talent - a scheme to further the career development of promising young professional baroque music performers. She also won a Basso Continuo Prize at the ‘Gianni Gambi’ Competition in Pesaro.

Katarzyna’s CDs include ‘Forgotten Vienna’ with Amadè Players, Meilyr Jones’s album ‘2013’ as well as ‘French Collection’ solo harpsichord CD. She also recorded for BBC Radio 1.

Katarzyna works as a harpsichord teacher at Morley College in London.
