Christiane Eidsten Dahl: Baroque violin

Christiane Eidsten Dahl is a Norwegian baroque and modern violinist based in London. She studied at the Barratt Due Institute of Music in Oslo before moving to London in 2010 to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with David Takeno.

Christiane enjoys a varied performance career having performed in Wigmore Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Musikverein Vienna, Concertgebouw Amsterdam and Cite de la Musique Paris among other.

She performs regularly with Orchestra of The Age of Enlightenment, The Mozartists, and Academy of Ancient Music on which she has appeared on numerous recordings. Future engagements in 2022 include Donizettis Don Pasquale at Glyndebourne with The Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Mozart’s Cosi fan tutte with The English Concert at Garsington Opera.

A keen chamber musician, Christiane plays in several chamber groups specialising in historical performance, including Freithoff Ensemble (Norway), Royal Baroque (UK) and Istante (UK).
